Lutheran Laypersons’ League Australia provides a simplified savings options, loans and partners to support and transform Lutheran entities such as schools, churches and aged care facilities. 

Challenges

SRG was engaged to undertake a high-level review of LLL’s organisational structure (Finance team) and later provide interim Financial Controller support to the CFO whilst a permanent Financial Controller was recruited.  Key activities included: 

• Undertaking a gap analysis of finance policies, developing new policies and process improvements as required and rolling those out to the business.  
  

• Developing and delivering daily depositor analysis reports to support a significant business transition and meet the associated governance requirements. This included partnering with the data team to deliver these reports via Power BI.

This engagement provided senior finance leadership capability to help drive improvement critical areas of the finance function freeing up the CFO to focus on recruiting a permanent Financial Controller and provide the necessary executive level support to the CEO and Board during a time of significant business change.
